To create this jewel, we have combined the knowledge of our engineers and the most expert testers, together with feedback from pro cyclists. The result is a new wheelset for racing bikes with the magic ratio of features: lightweight construction, unmatched reactivity and superior handling.


We have taken H.U.L.C. molding technology and C-LUX finish to the next level to make Hyperon Ultras easy on the eye and light on the scales. With the aim of enhancing cyclists’ riding experience and performance, we have achieved unmatched reactivity with the new Head-2-Bay system, created to ensure high precision head-to-bay coupling, to which we have fitted super-smooth CULT bearings and a new lighter N3W freewheel body.


For superior handling, we relied on historic Campagnolo knowhow and also applied the famous Aero-MoMag technology to the Hyperon Ultra wheels, ensuring benefits in terms of aerodynamics and even better looks. The rims feature the tried and tested 2-Way Fit technology with no holes on the upper bridge. Their special single-joint construction guarantees and further increases wheelset stiffness.


With an inner width of 21mm and rim profile of 37mm, Hyperon Ultra is a wheel that adapts to the needs of even the most demanding cyclist while enhancing the looks of any bike. The rims on the new Hyperon Ultra are molded with the latest Campagnolo H.U.L.C. technology, the result of over 25 years of carbon molding experience. This technology ensures dimensional optimisation of the rims and the carbon fibre and resin ratio, which all contributes to increased stiffness and resistance.

The mirror-like C-LUX finish creates a surface so flawlessly smooth that it doesn’t require lacquer, saving weight. The scientific precision of C-LUX also helps to ensure the safest possible seating of tubeless tires, increasing the pressure seal, ease of installation/uninstallation, and reducing the risk of abrasions to the bead.

The Head-2-Bay system guarantees high precision head-to-bay coupling and the hub has been optimized to prevent inelastic spoke shearing. This innovative technology introduces a hi-load management system to reduce the risk of damage, guaranteeing perfectly balanced spoke tension and correct transfer of power to the road.

Our N3W Light freewheel body is designed to house 11-, 12- and 13-speed cassettes with 9-, 10- and 11-tooth starting sprockets. Extreme smoothness of the CULT bearings and maximum torsional stiffness, together with even lighter design offer ultimate control. Standing for Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology, CULT bearings offer a significant upgrade from all other bearings. The key to the extraordinary performance of CULT bearings lies in using the highest quality materials in its hybrid construction.

The incredibly hard and perfectly round ceramic balls turn inside polymer cages on wear-resistant stainless-steel races, which maximize the efficiency and durability of the bearings, and require only periodic cleaning and light lubrication with synthetic oil.

Our Aero Mo-Mag technology takes aerodynamics to the next level. The internal fibreglass -reinforced polymer seats for the spoke nipples ensure perfect alignment with the spokes, reducing stressors on the system components. Our innovative construction allows the wheels to be built lighter and optimizes aerodynamics.

The rear rim profile is asymmetric for super stiffness control and total tension management, in order to guarantee maximum safety and handling around every bend.

The Campagnolo single-joint rim construction reduces potential points of weakness by having a solo fuse-point, down from the industry standard 4 joints. This enables the rim to be extremely stiff and, when combined with the aerospace-grade carbon material, incredibly hardwearing and resistant to damage.

Campagnolo 2-Way Fit Technology

Thanks to 2-Way Fit™ technology, if you choose Campagnolo® wheels you can test them out to see which of the two solutions feels better for you, or use clinchers for training and tubeless for racing. Tubeless are without doubt the future of tires for road cycling. Apart from greater comfort, other big advantages include the fact that tubeless tires let you make the most of the greater smoothness due to the absence of friction between tire and inner tube. Plus, a tubeless will not suddenly deflate when punctured, which is definitely a good thing in terms of safety. And finally, tubeless tires do away with any risk of pinch flats, because there is no inner tube. If you get a puncture with a tubeless tire, the Campagnolo® 2-Way Fit™ system lets you simply remove the airtight valve, fit a classic inner tube and continue to pedal: problem solved.

Campagnolo Aero Mo-Mag

The innovative Campagnolo Mo-Mag system means that the nipples can be positioned inside the rim using a magnet, without the need to make additional holes in the bed and in this way offering the safest, most user-friendly tubeless compatible system on the market. Aero Mo-Mag now takes this one step further, with a completely internal hidden system that maximizes aerodynamics and enables the construction of a lighter rim; a single piece of carbon with just one join in the fiber. The internal fiberglass-reinforced polymer seats for the nipples have been specifically designed for every possible combination of rim and hub to achieve perfect alignment of the spokes and nipples and a huge reduction in stress during use on each component. Spoke tension can be adjusted easily, even using the conventional method with the Torx tool that comes with the wheels. Aero Mo-Mag technology is used on the famous Bora Ultra WTO carbon wheels for racing bikes and Hyperon Ultra wheels.

Campagnolo Head-2-Bay

Head-2-Bay is a hi-tech system inspired by joint anatomy and designed to prevent spoke inelastic shearing. Thanks to study and optimization of the pattern, the coupling with spherical profile between the spoke head and the hub allows for infinitesimal controlled movement for spokes under tension. Under load, this characteristic enables peaks to be distributed evenly, avoiding any permanent deformation of the spoke head. The result is the best possible transfer of power to the road, thanks to optimized load management. Head-2-Bay is a technology introduced with the new Hyperon Ultra carbon wheels that reduces the risk of damage, perfectly balances spoke tension in any pedaling situation and increases product durability and safety.

Campagnolo CULT Ultimate Level Technology

The iconic CULT—ceramic bearings for Campagnolo racing bike wheels—are only mounted on the best hubs and cranksets and are revolutionary compared to other bearings on the market. Thanks to their properties, produced to specific Campagnolo design, CULT bearings offer extremely low friction, enabling maximum performance and energy savings when pedaling. The top-quality ceramic balls with high-precision roundness and resistance turn inside polymer cages on stainless steel races that are extremely resistant to wear and tear. These cages are designed with tolerances accurate to the micron, which maximizes their efficiency and durability. CULT bearings do not deform or corrode, ensuring long-term constant performance and product quality. Their maintenance requires only periodic cleaning and light lubrication with synthetic oil. CULT bearings have a 40% lower friction coefficient than standard sealed bearings and they roll for 5 and a half times longer in tests. CULT ceramic bearings are available for the best-known Campagnolo racing bike wheels: Bora Ultra WTO, Ghibli and Hyperon Ultra.

Campagnolo C-Lux Finish

Fast wheels must look the part and be functional as well. Campagnolo rims in carbon fiber sport the stunning mirror-like Campagnolo Luxury finish. The C-LUX finish is obtained by controlling the external thickness of the very resin that makes up the structure of the carbon fiber. In this way, only one material is used for the wheel, making it free from molding defects and so smooth it requires no lacquer, a unique characteristic that saves weight and celebrates the lightness of Campagnolo design. When also applied to the rim bed, like the first time with the Bora Ultra WTO wheels, the scientific precision of the C-LUX finish helps to ensure the safest possible seating of tubeless tires. A design plus that increases their pressure seal, makes for easier installation/assembly, reducing the risk of abrasions to the bead. The eye-catching glints given off by the carbon fiber and their essential lines take Campagnolo wheels to the level of true design icons. The C-LUX finish thus becomes a distinctive element, highlighting the aesthetics of bikes fitted with Campagnolo wheels, enhancing them with new emotions and valuable meaning. Campagnolo H.U.L.C. Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon

H.U.L.C. (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) is the exclusive Campagnolo technology for the production of carbon rims that optimizes the carbon fiber and resin ratio to increase stiffness and control. This distinctive feature of top-end Campagnolo wheels is an evolution of the exclusive carbon molding process patented by Campagnolo that creates defect-free rims and requires no additional coats of lacquer. Optimization of the carbon fiber and resin ratio guarantees a reduction in weight and unprecedented dimensional accuracy of the safety elements on the 2-Way Fit rim (coupling diameters, hooks and humps). H.U.L.C. technology is applied to Bora Ultra WTO, Hyperon Ultra, Shamal, and Ghibli wheels for racing bikes and to Levante gravel wheels.

Campagnolo Dynamic Balance

RIM Dynamic Balance™ – aluminum wheels The concept is as simple as it is genius: balancing the weight of the rim joint with a mass of identical weight on the opposite side of the rim. For top-end models this is achieved by intervening on the section of the rim opposite the joint. SPOKES Dynamic Balance™ For entry-level models, the balance is achieved with two oversized spokes in the section opposite the joint. The result is a wheel with perfectly balanced rotational dynamics. RIM Dynamic Balance™ – Carbon wheels For carbon wheels, the principle is the same but the technology differs. The pieces of carbon cloth are aligned using a special procedure that ensures the rim is always balanced.

Campagnolo N3W Freehub

N3W stand for NEXT 3 WAYS, a patented standard for a freewheel body engineered to house 11-, 12- and 13-speed cassettes with 9-, 10- and 11-tooth starting sprockets that is still compatible with older 9- and 10-speed cassettes. To make it compatible with all of today’s cassettes with 11-tooth starting sprockets, simply use the N3W ring (kit complete with ring + ring code AC21-N3W), which makes them the same length as the classic body. N3W is directly compatible with the new Campagnolo cassettes with 9- and 10-tooth starting sprockets. N3W has the same groove profile as the classic Campagnolo body but it is 4.4 mm shorter, making it much lighter. There is also a N3W Light version with an aeronautical-quality aluminum hub with optimized geometrics that delivers maximum torsional stiffness and maximum performance control. Special Campagnolo processes have resulted in a patented Next 3 Ways freewheel body with unmatched smoothness and lightness. The N3W freewheel body is used on Bora WTO, Bora Ultra WTO, and Hyperon Ultra carbon wheels for racing bikes and on Shamal Carbon wheels.

Campagnolo Single-Joint Construction

For construction of its carbon fiber wheels, Campagnolo uses a special lamination process designed to produce a rim with just one joint in the fiber: a lightweight resistant carbon monolith. This particular technology is totally different to the industry standard four-joint constructions. The resulting rim is extremely stiff and responds immediately to the terrain, transmitting pedal power and efficiency to the ground. A construction excellence introduced with Hyperon Ultra carbon wheels that makes the rim incredibly easy to handle, hardwearing and resistant to damage.
